VPX, OpenVPX and SOSA-aligned Rear I/O and miscellaneous

A VPX RTM is a Rear Transition Module used with a VPX system.

It is installed at the rear of the VPX chassis, directly behind a compatible front VPX board, and connects to that board through the backplane.

Its purpose is to move I/O connections away from the front panel and provide additional interfaces such as:

Ethernet, Serial ports, USB, Display outputs, RF or analog I/O, Storage connections, Debug and maintenance interfaces, Custom sensor or control connections
